Blocking Facebook crawlers

One of our clients just complained that their Facebook share wasn’t working correctly and I tracked the issue down to iThemes Security. The odd thing is that only having the plugin activated creates the issue – nothing changed in .htaccess and no settings actually chosen but it blocks the Facebook crawler somehow. Also, I’ve used multiple plugins, Facebook native, and their bug tool and all have this issue. Also, Twitter, G+, and all of the other social shares work just fine.
