    I’m assuming you are sending plain text emails (otherwise I would suspect you’d just send it correctly formatted).

    Postie won’t do this for you out of the box, but Postie has several hooks so that you can make it do what you want. See http://postieplugin.com/extending/ and in particular http://postieplugin.com/postie_post_before/

    Yes I use plain text. I think I need this as a filter or the contributors could potentials post code that cause problems.

    Unfortunately I’m not a developer. I can work with finished snippets and maybe add or change parts with logic and reasoning but building these from scratch is beyond me.

    You best bet is to find a developer as parsing text can have some tricky edge cases.
