Have the blocks disappeared from both the back and front ends of the site? If the ID’s are in use then the blocks are probably still in the database but have no idea why they are not being displayed. Have never come across this before. Are your 2 sites using the same theme and/or plugins? If so all I can suggest is reverting back to the default team and deactivating plugins to see if there is a conflict.
same problem. They were there yesterday. Today, suddenly, they’re not.

Did you change anything on your site just before this happened? E.g., install/upgrade plugins, theme, WP?
Sorry, was busy building. Nope, nothing major. Sometimes it’s even inbetween page edits. They’re there when I save, I change another thing on the page, they disappear.
Here’s some screenshots
Note how the IDs start at 13. There were 12 other blocks that just up and vanished one day from the back and frontend. There is no reason why I can see.

Note the empty spaces when I try and insert. I JUST created centers and internships, but they don’t show there either. However, pasting in the shortcode works okay.

There have been no updates to the plugin for quite a while so it must be due to a conflict with another plugin or theme that has been installed or updated. Other than reverting to the default theme and disabling all other plugins to see if this resolves the issue and if so, enabling them one by one to see which one is causing the issue, I’m afraid i have no other suggestions.
I have the same problem and found out, that the gcb blocks in the wp_option table seems to change quotes ” into & quote ;
I also suspect something is going wrong there. Just earlier this week global content blocks disappeared on another WordPress install. This particular install was a multisite network, and the blocks seemed to have disappeared right after changes were made to the settings of one of the subsites of the network.

Sorry, but my developer no longer has the time to support this plugin and I don’t have the technical skills to do so myself so unfortunately I have to advise that with immediate effect the plugin is no longer supported. If anyone wants to take over support and development of Global Content Blocks you are welcome to do so under the terms of the GPL license.
