  • Hello @borgmanreview

As a rule of thumb, unfortunately we won’t be able to provide custom code support, as that is our policy. I would recommend contacting a knowledgable WordPress developer if you wish to implement advanced modifications to your website.

Another rule is that we cannot provide support for Blocksy Pro (I see that you’ve mentioned Content Blocks) through these forums, as these are for the Free users only. If you wish to receive support for any Blocksy Pro feature, I would recommend getting in touch via our website here – https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/support/

Hope this points you in the right direction!

    Thanks.

hello eduard, thnx for your feedback. i dont understand what do u mean by ‘advanced’ modification. and what are things that customizable? what’s the use of content block exactly.

and what about the post arrangement in homepage i need to arrange post alternating with different category or some kind of control over it. is that ‘advanced’ as well?

i dont understand using query shortcode the explanation from documentation is unclear as if i already a master in code. i just want to see examples/tutorial

im in this project for longer that it should. and i appreciate your feedback.

    Hello @borgmanreview

Content Blocks let you insert content, dynamically, throughout your website in place of the available hooks. You can find a quick getting started article and tutorial video at this link – https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/docs/extensions/content-blocks/

Arranging posts in a different way requires modifying the core WordPress query, which in turn requires custom code and advanced PHP/SQL programming knowledge. Sadly we cannot give out support for that, as it is not something related to the theme.

The [blocksy_posts] shortcode does support modifying its query, following the structure of WP_Query here – https://developer.ww.wp.xz.cn/reference/classes/wp_query/

Even though [blocksy_posts] supports these modifications, giving out code examples is still something related to WordPress core, which is something that we do not have control over. That’s why it would be best to get a developer friend to help you out in modifying these queries.

As an alternative to coding, you might want to take a look at a plugin like this – https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/post-types-order/ – which claims to reorder posts in a custom way.

    Hope this clears everything up!

    Thank you.

    hello,

    1. ouhh, i dont know its too complex to have control of the post order position. if thats the case than ive been wasting a lot of time for this. I thought content block can hook anywhere am i wrong?

    2. ya i already go tru the documentation provided so many times but its too simple and quite hard to understand what it means by ‘custom post layout’ really. ex the tutorial is 30 second and not even showing what it can do:

    https://creativethemes.com/blocksy/docs/extensions/how-to-build-an-archive-template/

    3. I tried to create custom card layout for each category but its messing up with others as i doing it. Maybe its just me not understand how blocksy works and what it means by ‘customizable’ because everyone’s is.

*one more thing, if this forum is for free version, then where can i go for the pro version? because i cant ask all using customer tickets and sometimes i just need to refer based on others to get some ideas

    Hello @borgmanreview

I’ve seen that you have submitted a ticket through our website. Since you’re a Pro customer, we will continue the discussion on there to keep things tidy.

    Thank you!
