• My entire blog went missing. I believe it has to do with me switching hosting providers only a week ago. It was with Yahoo for a long time and I moved it to godaddy but I believe the blog portion was separate and did not transfer over. Yahoo deleted the files almost instantly and says that they only had a copy of what wordpress gave them, and that it should still be on the internet somewhere with wordpress. Can I please get help with getting access to my blog. I cannot even get to the wp-admin/wp-login page. The whole thing is down and missing.

    Thank you

WordPress (whatever they mean by that) is not backing up your site, nor tdoes it have a copy. Go to archive.org and enter your URL in the wayback machine at the top. If you’re lucky, they’ll have it and you can copy/paste that content into your new blog.

    Thank you Mr. Stern,

I see the whole blog on there which is a great relief, however, it sounds like I would manually need to copy and paste several years of blogging into a new blog i’d have to create. Surely there should be a way to export or import the files or info?

    Nope, not from archive.org.
