    How can I change the background color of the excerpts on the blog page? I have my text set to white because the rest of the site has a dark background image. Like the look of it. However, the blog page looks awful. Would love to get rid of the white boxes and have the blog excerpt text show.
    Also, I chose to show blog posts with a certain category but that isn’t working.

    Hi,

    Please follow this instruction on how to setup a blog page with Optimizer:
    https://optimizerwp.com/documentation/how-to-setup-blog-page/

    And then go to Customize > Misc > Custom Code > Custom CSS and add this:

    .lay4 .hentry { background: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);}

    Thanks very much. Worked beautifully.

    One question: since I had a blog page before using your theme, do i have to change any wordpress settings? I noticed even though I set up a blog page per your instructions, my blog url stayed the same (which is what I want). Just wanted to make sure I don’t have to do anything else.
