    Hello,

The blog/ url is related to any category? Without it, the blog posts won’t be displayed.

No its not related to any category. Its just a page which we have created and selected under “Reading Settings” as the Posts page.

So you’re saying its some problem with the theme and we cannot have a generic blog page which will display posts from all categories?

You are getting error 404 so something is wrong with your config. But even after setting a page as a posts listing in the reading settings, you won’t get the proper layout, because posts will be displayed in the post frame. The only way to reproduce the demo layout is using posts listing in the frontpage.

Like I said everything works fine with the default WordPress theme. The blog page displays the blog posts.

Only when I enable gk-portfolio theme, the blog page displays “Nothing Found” message. Its not a 404 error if you see it carefully. It says that there are no existing posts whereas the posts actually exist (as I can see them in the default wordpress theme). I’m not worried about the layout right now as the posts are not getting displayed in first place.

It must be something with your config – I have tested the theme: created empty blog page and then assign it in the blog reading settings as a post listing page – it shows posts, but with the wrong layout. So even if you achive the posts display, it will be displayed wrong.

Can you please advise what I need to check or correct in the config for it to work? I think the layout issues can be worked upon once the blog posts start showing.

In fact I have no idea what can cause your issue – on my local version the post listing is working fine on the subpage set as a post listing page (of course excluding the proper layout).
