The difference you’re noticing in thumbnail sizes usually happens when some images don’t have the correct sizes generated. This is quite common after updates or when new image dimensions are introduced.
To resolve this, you can try using the free plugin Regenerate Thumbnails (or Force Regenerate Thumbnails). After installing, go to Dashboard → Tools → Regenerate Thumbnails and run the tool. This will rebuild all your images so they display consistently.
That should fix the stretched images on your blog page. If the issue remains after doing this, please let us know so we can guide you further.

The image dimensions of all pictures are the exactly same (300×300), but I tried to exchange the images anyway. I also used the plugin, but it didn’t change anything. The first 3 pictures are alright and the next ones are enlarged full width 🙁

Please Navigate to Tools > Site Health > Info (tab) and click on the “Copy site info to clipboard” button, then send the information to our email: [email protected]
Also, navigate to Tools > Export – choose All Content click on Download Export File, and then send this file to our email – [email protected] as well.
