• No doubt an excellent theme (thanks mate), but when I try to create a dedicated blog/news page by setting the following, the blog page contains the contents of the home page and that content gets strangely framed. I see no posts.

    Settings / Reading;
    A static page
    Front Page: Home
Posts Page: News (an empty page I created for this purpose)

    This works with other themes.

Any way to solve this without changing the theme?

    Thanks in advance,
    Anders

How about a link to the page?

    Sorry about that.

This site is still just for testing: http://en.cliqtags.com.
The production site puts news in a footer widget instead, but people don’t find the news then.

    I’ve set the following here:
    Settings / Reading:
    A static page
Front Page: — Select — (there is no home page to select for this theme, so I didn’t)
    Posts Page: News

You’ll see the strange framing of the content and the same content is shown on both the home page and the news page.

    Cheers,
    Anders

I added a specific Home page and selected it as per above for the Front page, but that completely screwed things up.

The default for the home page is set by the theme designer. It’s typically just posts. Setting the posts page to News will duplicate the home page unless you create a custom template for the home page. That’s why they’re both the same.

There may be a custom template for a blog page. Check in the Template dropdown under Page Attributes in the page edit screen.

As for why no posts are showing, it could be a setting or option in the theme. You should post your question here:

You’ll probably get a quicker answer.

There’s a “Blog (full posts)” template that does exactly what I need.

I also found a template that gets rid of the right sidebar on pages.

    Thanks mate,
