BlueHost and Updraft Plus, confusing information?

    Hello! I’ve had some issues with my wordpress website and finally, everything is cleaned up and running smoothly.

    I want to create a backup now with everything working. But, I’ve received conflicting information. On one hand, I’ve been told that UpdraftPlus backups everything. On the other hand, I’ve also been told UpdraftPlus backs up my wordpress site but I still need to backup my BlueHost files?

    Can anyone shed some light on this? I did export my BLueHost Data base so I have a clean copy of that.

    Hi,

    UpdraftPlus only backups WordPress files, specifically the contents within the “wp-content” of your WordPress site – files necessary to restore your website. Though it is possible to backup other files files within the server with the premium version of the plugin.

    Thank you for clearing up the confusion. I’ve been told so many things….?? I’m learning to backup my other files manually! It’s comforting having a physical copy now that I know what I’m doing!
