Bogus Post Count

    I upgraded to WP 2.5 today and noticed that all my posts are being counted twice in the post count, in my sidebar widget. Under Archives (months), I have posted twice in April thus far, and the post count says “4”. When April is clicked, it shows only two posts, which is correct, so I don’t understand why it says “4”.

    Any insight is welcome.

    Did that two posts have images that you uploaded into them?

    Images and other attachments create posts for them to be contained inside. Maybe it’s counting those too.

    One did have images and one did not. I also did a test post with text only, and it was counted twice.

    This didn’t happen with version 2.3.

    Using the Archive Widget with the WordPress Default WordPress 1.6 theme is showing the correct post counts for me.

    What theme are you using?

    I am using the Blue Zinfandel Theme.

    April officially has 10 posts, and it’s being shown as 20.

    It says “24” now..I’ve posted a couple times.

    My last post was not counted at all, though.
