the first solution doesnt work. Only Reservation is checked in backend, but it has no effect on frontend.
the second code i pasted it into my functions.php. doesnt work. no effect.

you probably need to tweak the suggestions to your specific purpose, the second snippet for example should force 3 default tickets to be shown if the event is new.
