    hi all!

Firstly, I know nothing about WordPress and don’t even know what version is running.

I DO have a lot of IT experience, working in the industry for 20+ years… and I have taken on a new role in a smaller company which has a WordPress website that broke in the past few days without any updates being done to it.

The company uses the Paeon engine/plugin. The website now just displays the following error messages:

Warning: require_once(/home/clayfiel/public_html/wp-content/themes/paeon/engine/bootstrap.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/clayfiel/public_html/wp-content/themes/paeon/functions.php on line 22

Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required ‘/home/clayfiel/public_html/wp-content/themes/paeon/engine/bootstrap.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php’) in /home/clayfiel/public_html/wp-content/themes/paeon/functions.php on line 22

I can’t get into the wp-admin page either – same error.

I can however get into the FTP site for the site.

I can confirm that the bootstrap.php file is nowhere to be found in the path above…

Please advise as to what I can do?

    Many thanks in advance!

    Ross.

You need to get a fresh copy of the Paeon theme and replace the missing bootstrap file with FTP. You may have to buy another copy of the theme from ThemeForest. And you’ll need to ask the webhost if they know why the file disappeared.

But Paeon is a premium/paid theme not supported in these forums. These forums are for free themes available in the WordPress theme directory at http://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/. See http://codex.ww.wp.xz.cn/Forum_Welcome#Commercial_Products

    thank you Mark!

I found a backup of the missing file, copied it via FTP and it is working again!
