Borders around sections

    Hi I am using the twenty seventeen theme and I am trying to insert borders around sections.

    What I am doing: First of all I am updating everything visually (not html)

    In the Block option I am clicking on Style > Border > I am changing border width to 1 (on all four sides) and colour black on a white background.

    In this way I can see the border in the editor page and when I click on ‘Preview’ I can see the border correctly. However when I click on ‘Update’ no border is visible in the updated page. I tried repeating this multiple times just in case I had a temporary problem but it is not successful.

    Is this a bug? Can it be fixed please?

    Hello @adminmyloyhealth,

    Which kind of block element are you trying to add a border to? As far as I know, the common Gutenberg blocks using Twenty Seventeen don’t have any options for borders.

    Your site looks like it’s using Elementor? Perhaps you are using Elementor to make your borders?

    Hello @mlchaves,

    Thanks for your reply. Till a few weeks ago I was using WordPress Classic Editor and then I upgraded to WordPress 5.4 and I got the blocks system and that is what I am using now. As activated plugins I have Orbit Fox Companion and Image Optimisation service by Optimole.

    The block element I am adding the border to is a section. These are the details for this block: “Add a Section block that displays content in multiple columns, then add whatever content blocks you’d like.”

    Can you help with this information please?

    Hi @adminmyloyhealth,

    Sorry, I don’t see a Section block in my Gutenberg.

    I don’t think that’s a standard Gutenberg block. Do you know where you got that section block from?
