Botiga Theme on Quickview

Hello guys, how are you?

I’m using your plugin and it’s working fine with my theme (Botiga). I’m just wondering if I can manage to make it work also in the quickview modal, where’s not at this time.

I’ve checked the classes and I’m trying to find what I can change to reach the result. I’ll share it below:

Hello, thanks for replying it. The quickview is part of the theme Botiga, which is a free theme in WordPress repository.

Here’s the link for it: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/themes/botiga/

You only have to enable it on the Customize > Product Catalog > Product Card > Quick View.

Thanks for giving us the theme URL. I have already tested the theme with the development version 1.3.3. The mentioned issue was not found in this version 1.3.3.

After doing some tests we will release the new version soon. We will try to speed up the test process.

Hello, thanks for updating it. I made some tests and now it looks fine inside the quickview on shop page, but for some reason it still doesn’t work on the home page or the product category page.

To test in your side, try to make a page and create a product grid using the shortcode widget with [products]. For them, it’s not working =/

Maybe there’s some quickview’s class blocking the hook, I don’t know.

Answering your question, yes, the price below. The option to change the variation price is checked, which works either in single product page and shop page, but not for those examples I described before (home page/category page, using the woocommerce loop).

It’s not changed the normal price to the variation one when selected, instead of that, it shows the price below, as usually woocommerce does without the plugin.

I’ll complete the previous post to make things easier to understand.

PS: I want to say that I know all the effort you guys put on it and I’m not trying to rush you at all. I’m pretty satisfied with the plugin, you guys have done an excellent job so far!

With all that said, here’s the issue:

Options set:

On the shop page it works like it should be.
It’s the default Botiga shop page template with no changes.

Quickview on shop page:

Home page using the shortcode with [products] (default woocommerce loop) or category page (with no changes).

Quickview on home page:

it’s not changing the regular price to the variation one, instead of that, it shows the variation price below.

Thanks a lot for your detailed explanation. We understand your issue and already working on this.

The issue is- when you land on your single product page, it reloads all the data. But when you click on a quick view modal, it opened inside a markup (pushed by the theme).

After opening a modal you can select variations using the dropdown or swatches. Until you clear the variation form by clicking the clear button, the variation data will not be removed. It is not a single product page, on the shop page, you have multiple products. Without clearing the form data, when you open another product, using the quick view, you can notice some quirk.

We have tried to resolve it in several ways. But the variation form is controlled by the theme. On closing the modal, the variation form should be cleared. Using our plugin we are unable to control the form because it is pushed by the theme.

In the next release, we are going to add a wrapper field. It will be helpful for the builders’ specific single product page to change the variation price. It will also partially help you to change prices on the quick view on any page. But, the above things will happen as I mentioned in this reply.

Thanks so much your help. I thought it would be something complex to resolve. I understand the case and I’ll wait for the next release, that seems it’s going to fix part of the problem, which is really awesome. Hopefully, from this point based in what you said, I’ll try to contact the theme support and see if they have some kind of solution for that.

We have managed the variation form refresh by closing the popup window. An update 1.3.4 is released. Please update the plugin and add this class .botiga-quick-view-popup-content-ajax in the Product Wrapper Class field. Here is a screenshot for better understanding: https://prnt.sc/ys6pvKMH6F0G
