bounce detection not working

    Hello,

    I just discovered your plugin whith mailpoet3, i’m looking for a bounce detection function.

    I’ve installed bounce handling plugin, created a bounce dedicated email and test connection is OK.

    But when i send a test newsletter (with a wrong email in the list for testing), i don’t have any bounce return. Nothing in the bounce mailbox neither in logs. The status for this wrong email is still “suscriber”. I tried many times, but nothing.

    Could you help me please ? It’s very important for me.

    Hi @samuelkjdn,

    First of all, thanks for trying this plugin. At very first, if you see any update notice on this plugin in plugins.php area than please update.

    To make this plugin to unsubscriber your bounced subscriber, you have to set it first in Actions & Notifications tab. Which you can call settings area for this plugin. On that tab, number 2 option is When mailbox is not available followed by a drop down box, that you have to change as per your choice. Then don’t forget to change settings.

    Finally, this plugin can only handle bounce once your mailbox got some mail. Before start bounce handling process, please check your mailbox manually, see if it has any mails. If there is no mail than bounce handler can’t process any.

    Pro Suggestion: set Connection method to IMAP that will always fetch fresh email from inbox.
