create new doc loads empty page

I have just moved my BP site to a new server. Everything is working as it should, except for the create new document page in BP Docs . It just shows a standard page template with no content . Everything else in BP Docs is working fine and I can still add a new doc from the backend and edit one in the front end. I have tried all the usual stuff, delete , reinstall, refresh permalink etc. Be very grateful for ideas as it has me stumped.
