br html markup added automatically

I forgot to mention that I actually already added remove_filter( ‘the_content’, ‘wpautop’ ); and remove_filter( ‘the_excerpt’, ‘wpautop’ ); to the bottom of my functions.php. This is what really makes me wonder. And I saw some effect, in that my paragraph is not split up any longer, but then i noticed the <br class=”clear”> at the bottom.

It only shows when i make a line brake or insert a br tag on the page so i figured it must be wp generated.

Yeah the display none does the trick if i add it in my stylesheet, though i would prefer the markup didn’t get created at all.
