Brand and Brand Logo Duplication Won’t Delete

    Hello. With my store, I have to add products that are similar to other products within the same product category so I use the Duplicate Page plugin to save time on the data entry. However, 50% of the time the product I am duplicating is not of the same brand. I also use the Schema and Structured Data plugin and when I use the Duplicate Page plugin to duplicate a product, the Schema and Structured Data fields all get duplicated (as they should) but when I delete the Brand Name and Brand Logo fields, then I save the product, the Brand Name and Brand Logo just repopulate back to what they were. Can you please make it so that when I delete the Schema and Structured data “Brand Name” and Brand Logo” fields they stay deleted (empty) when I save the product?

    We want to clarify that the Duplicate Page plugin only handles the duplication process itself — it simply copies the existing post or product data as-is. It does not modify, manage, or control how the data is saved, reloaded, or repopulated after edits.

    From what you’ve described, the behaviour you’re seeing (where the “Brand Name” and “Brand Logo” fields repopulate after saving) seems to be related to how the Schema and Structured Data plugin or WooCommerce handles those fields post-duplication — possibly via default values or some form of field persistence and unrelated to our plugin behaviour.

    This conclusion aligns with the investigation we conducted yesterday, where we found that the issue is not specific to our plugin. The Duplicate Page plugin performs similarly to other duplication tools — it creates a copy, and after that, any changes or behaviors are governed by the respective plugins managing those fields.

    We recommend checking with the developers of the Schema and Structured Data plugin to see how those fields are handled after a product is duplicated and saved.
