Brands filtering

Hello,
We have an issue with how product brands filtering works. We will try to explain what the problem is.
On the given example page you can use the YITH filter to filter by “Марка” which is the default product brand in Woo. First you filter by “Климатици Daikin” after that you filter by “Климатици Fuji Electric”. When you do that you are first lead to the page for Daikin and the second filtered value is added as a filter to the Daikin page.
This is not an YITH problem as it happens both with default filtering and YITH filtering.
Both examples:

2. Standard filter
Conclusion – Brand filtering leads to the page of the first filtered brand then filters those results, adding the second brand.
The correct behavior should be to stay on the original page and add both brands as filters to the original page.
We have reproduced this exact issue on several websites.-

Thank you for explaining the issue in detail. I checked your site and can see that the filter is leading to the Daikin page. Both links you shared show filters added using the YITH plugin. I’m not seeing any standard WooCommerce filters on the pages you provided.
Since you mentioned that you’re able to replicate the issue with standard filters as well, could you please provide more information about which standard filter you’re using and where exactly you have added the standard filter.
The more details we have, the better we can assist you accurately.

Hello,
The second URL was manually “made” using the standard URL structure, not the YITH filter one.
We don’t have any default filters visible in the sidebar as the website is live.We can create a test installation (No YITH installed at all) but we need an email address to send the link to, as posting public links of our test installations is not preferable.

At this time, WooCommerce core doesn’t include a native block or widget for filtering products by brand, that functionality typically comes from third-party plugins like YITH Brands or custom implementations.
We’d like to understand your setup better before suggesting next steps.

- A few screenshots showing how the brand filters are set up.

example brand.
We are going to contact DIVI support too with this issue, but please assist us with moving this issue forward with them, as this is an important aspect of Brands.
Additional information:
While testing with the DIVI team we found out that on Twenty-Twenty Five it works correctly, it stays in the shop page, but on Storefront and twenty-sixteen (examples) it still goes to the brand page.
This is not expected behavior as it changes from theme to theme (both should be supported and work the same).

Thank you for sharing the details about the issue. I’m able to replicate it with the Storefront theme if I try to filter products using the URL. However, I’m not able to replicate the issue with the Twenty Twenty-Five theme.
The issue appears only with specific themes, even when you add a brand filter with the help of a third-party plugin. This indicates that the issue is related to the theme.
Connecting with theme support is the best approach to get help fixing this. I hope they will help you resolve it.
Also, by defualt we haven’t added a “filter by brands” widget yet. please note that we only provide support for woocommerce core features .

It is currently only working on Twenty Twenty-Five, on Storefront it is broken as well.
DIVI support are notified of this ticket and should take action regarding the issue after your reply.
We request that both the DIVI support team as well as the Woo support team take action regarding this issue, as the only thing we get in DIVI support is that this is a Woocommerce bug and the only explanation we heard here is that this is a theme problem.
Both huge multinational teams not able to communicate directly in resolving this simple “bug” and us having to start and keep this conversation alive is simply not OK.
Please contact each other and get to the bottom of this as this will effect both Woo and DIVI customers and it is beneficial for all 3 parties in this conversation for the issue to be resolved.
We as a company are doing everything we can and wasting a huge amount of time on communications that should be lead by both your teams and not guided and pushed by us.
