Since pages (post type) can be set as the root for the site, posts, and custom post types, it is treated in a special and somewhat restricted way by Breadcrumb NavXT. Is there a particular reason you are not using a custom post type for this application?

    Hello ,

Because I have add a metabox categorie for pages but the categorie is not show in breadcrumb.

And I have an other question, in my single post I can(‘t clic on breacrumb because there isn’t link , I have only text. the breadcrumb get the field on admin : “The template for page breadcrumbs, used only when the breadcrumb is not linked.”, Why ?.

    Thanks you

I’m not sure that answers my question as to why you are not using a Custom Post Type instead of a Page for this. Having taxonomies does not make sense in the realm of site organization for pages (since the root of the site can be a page, how can it be a member of a category which cannot be the root of the site?).

By default, Breadcrumb NavXT does not link the current item (the breadcrumb representing the current page/post/archive that you are on). To change this, under the General tab in the Breadcrumb NavXT settings page, make sure the checkbox near “Link Current Item” is checked (then press the “Save Changes” button at the bottom of the page). After doing this, the current item should be linked.
