    Hey hbee!

If you have a block based theme you can edit the template responsible for single events to add this Yoast breadcrumb block:

You can also add this to a non block based theme using the same block but it will appear inside the content and is probably not what you are hoping for.

It looks simple to add support for this for all situations, however, so I’ll include this in an update next week!

    Hello again,

Version 1.11 supports breadcrumbs from Yoast, AIOSEO, SEOPress, and RankMath. The breadcrumbs appear above the title as this appears to be more standard than your suggestion. Sorry for the change. I hope this helps.

Hi! I just updated the plugin, and I do see the breadcrumbs now (I have YOAST installed and breadcrumbs activated).

however… in the breadcrums it takes the user to https://axober.org/axendas/ instead of https://axober.org/axenda/… do you know how, with Yoast, I can make that adjustment?

The settings for Yoast breadcrumbs are found under the Settings page and then “Advanced” section:

Since the /agendas/ page is a custom page and not the default archive page, Yoast does not know about it through it’s breadcrumb system. There is an option to disable breadcrumbs further down the page as well.

After giving this some thought as it may be common that people set up a separate calendar page, I’m going to add a setting to enable breadcrumbs and have it off for events by default.

I have made a note to offer better, more customizable breadcrumb support in a future update though! Look for the update later today.

On this same matter — another qestion:

The event archive page is called “events”, so the breadcrumbs on single events lead there.

However, the page I have set up to display the full calendar is called “axenda” (a page constructed with Elementor and with the default calendar shortcode).

So, if I activate breadcrumbs (i’m using Yoast), the base is “events” instead of “axenda”.

I don’t know if there is a way to fix this, and even if it’s possible to hide that archive page (from viewing, from google searches..)

I think it makes sense to allow users to configure a page that they want to use for event listings. I think this would solve this problem and be something most people would want.

In the meantime, you could set up a 301 redirect that sends users from the default archive page, to your custom page. This is something handled by most SEO plugins or there are simple plugins that can enable this.
