    Hi, Since i updated to 14.0.4 the breadcrumbs now only seem display the last selected category i added them too, which in my case is Shop by Colours.

    So when i select a product from say the Decorative category, the breadcrumbs for that product show as Shop by Colours.

    I am using Themeco X theme and had added:

    function x_breadcrumbs() {

    if ( function_exists(‘yoast_breadcrumb’) ){
    yoast_breadcrumb(‘<p id=”breadcrumbs”>’,'</p>’);
    }
    }

    quite a while ago to make them work in conjunction with Yoast.

    Is this a bug or do i need to change the function code.

    Kind Regards

    Update: I also forgot to mention that even though the products are in multiple category’s i have been through all of them and selected the Primary category for all of them and i am still getting the problem.

    Can you please confirm whether updating to the newest release of Yoast SEO (version 14.1) resolves your issue with the breadcrumbs? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-free-plugin/

    Hi, it appears not to have made any difference. As i mentioned i have set all products to their Primary category but Yoast Breadcrumbs is still picking the order (by what i can see) alphabetically. So if Primary category begins with D but product is also in a category which begins with A then it appears to choose A first (if that makes sense). I hope it does i have put some hours into this.

    Kind Regards

    On a side note i have been trying NavXT as a replacement. It has an add on called Order Bender which creates a meta box in the editor for you to choose the primary category. Without the add on NavXT returns the same results i am getting with Yoast however with the category chosen via Order Bender then i get the correct result.

    Hi @leekane,

    Thank you for both of your replies. We apologize for this bug.

    The development team has created an issue on GitHub to track this and is currently working on a fix that should resolve the order issue. You can find the issue here.
