Hi @juliemarie, I have had a look at the default behaviour (with other themes) and I do not see this issue.
Sadly this theme you’re using is a premium theme, and I don’t already have it.
Perhaps you could raise a ticket with them to see if they can help at all? You could also maybe try turning WP_DEBUG to true, to see if any useful debug info is output?

Comment moderation is broken in that activating makes the “In Response To” column disappears and the options:
All (5,055) | Pending (5) | Approved (5,050) | Spam (0) | Trash (3)appear like:
