• WordPress plugins should NEVER break the backend of a site when they are deactivated… but bbPress does.

    Upon deactivation of this plugin, Administrators cannot access the WP dashboard home screen. Also, User profiles cannot be edited.

    Attempts to visit or edit these sections result in ‘Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.’ notices. As an Admin, that’s unacceptable.

    From what I gather from explanations of this behavior on various forums is that bbPress leaves behind permissions in the DB which are causing these problems — and this issue seemingly has been happening since 2013 yet it appears nothing has been done by the developers to correct this situation.
