Breaks Customizer with Genesis

Very strange issue when using genesis and a child theme. It breaks the customizer completly. I tested on several child themes including genesis starter child theme, but it broke them all. I disabled every plugin, cleared cache, etc. and just left this plugin and genesis with default child theme, but the customizer does not work at all.
