Hi @gawinsteiner ,
We’re really sorry for the frustration this update has caused. We understand how important it is to have full control over your backups, including retention settings, and we appreciate your honest feedback.
We’re actively working on reversing the two-job limit, allowing for more flexibility in managing backups. Additionally, we’ve brought back custom scheduling and compression options, and we’re continuing to restore full functionality based on user input. We will also iron out any bugs.
If you’d prefer the previous version while we work on these improvements, you can roll back to 4.1.7 here.
We appreciate your patience and hope to earn back your trust with future updates.

Hi @gawinsteiner,
I’m reaching out to update you on our latest release, version 5.1. We’ve brought back the ability to create multiple backup jobs, each with its own schedule, destination, and retention settings — restoring the flexibility that was missing in version 5.0.
We’ve also reinstated ZIP and TAR.GZ compression and made significant improvements to stability and the user interface. More refinements are on the way, but we believe this update marks a significant step toward restoring the control our users enjoyed in earlier versions.
We’d be delighted to hear your thoughts if you’re willing to give it another try. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping BackWPup, and it helps us continue to improve.
Thanks again for your engagement; it truly helps us make BackWPup better.
