    Hi,

Broadcasting a post without linking it does not work anymore.
I have WP 4.6.1 & Three WP 35.5 with the following addons enabled:

    • ACF
    • Polylang
    • Keep Child Status

It results in the following error:

    Fatal error: Uncaught Error: <strong>Call to a member function get_linked_post_on_this_blog() on null in wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast-3rd-party-pack/src/polylang/Polylang.php:165</strong> Stack trace: #0 wp-includes/plugin.php(524): threewp_broadcast\premium_pack\polylang\Polylang->threewp_broadcast_broadcasting_after_switch_to_blog(Object(threewp_broadcast\actions\broadcasting_after_switch_to_blog)) #1 wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast/src/actions/action.php(12): do_action('threewp_broadca...', Object(threewp_broadcast\actions\broadcasting_after_switch_to_blog)) #2 wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast/src/traits/broadcasting.php(276): threewp_broadcast\actions\action->execute() #3 in wp-content/plugins/threewp-broadcast-3rd-party-pack/src/polylang/Polylang.php on line 165

For the pollylang addon I have set the following option:

broadcast the post in the blog’s default language

    Thanks,
    Joren

The Polylang add-on doesn’t expect people to not link.

Before I fix this, could you tell me about your use case?

    Hi Edward,

I think there are plenty of uses cases for that. I will explain mine below:

    My multisite setup

    contains 3 subsites:

    • Splash page
    • BE
    • NL

So except for the first one, there are now 2 countries using the same wordpress, plugins and themes. In the future there will be more countries (up to 12).

Each of these countries can have 1 or more languages on their subsites.

These sites are their content platform and if they see an interesting article they want to be able to share its contents with eachther (cross country). But since the language can be different it should not be linked to prevent children/parents translated content to be overwritten.

    Got ya!

Mind sending me an e-mail so that I can send you a test version of the PLL add-on?

    Hi Edward,

Email on the way, I should already be in your contact list regarding the Polylang addon normally for broadcasting a post with a language that does not exist on other sub site 😉

Yeah. Unfortunately you last e-mailed me than 24 hours ago, which means I’ve already forgotten everything.

    🙂

No problem at all, can not expect you to remember everything who asks a question in here 😉

For others who would land here our are following the topic, Edward solved the problem and it will be available in the next release
