I have access to the ftp-server, but no idea what I have to do. can you help me and tell where I find the things to delete??
which plugin are you talking about?
@berliner – You should first navigate to the root directory where your wordpress files are installed(usually public_html or httpdocs ). The plugin can be found at: wp-content >> plugins . There should be a folder with the name of whichever plugin you are talking about..You have to delete the folder and all its content.You can just deactivate the plugin by renaming the folder to anything you like.
@abinav – I tried to install the “events calendar” which I found by the help of your instructions. but I can’t delete or rename the folder.
You cannot delete it?If you’re using a ftp client,right click the file and press delete.
If it’s a permission problem..Try deleting it straight from your control panel.Maybe your ftp account doesn’t have enough permission.
