Same here, backend and frontend! In my case it seem to get “wild” after I activate the option to “Show Memphis posts Menu”. Test it after in a staging site and it happened again.
Main problem thought is now our LIVE site that is unusable… 🙁
Can we get a fix urgently?

Complementing my previous post, just happened in a third staging site. It seemed to be working ok until I visit the settings, no changes, page and saved it. Same problem now. ..
I have the same problem also unable to change Displayed File Properties & also about 50 greyed out rows in the Document list configuration
mDocs dashboard > Options > Restore to Default > “Keep all files, post, and categories.” make sure is checked.
open the file mdocs-show-file-info-template.php:
uncomment out the following lines:

go back to settings and press save.
then comment the lines back out again.
It has removed the spurious fields on the display – But the Upload screen (defined by Displayed file properties – which can be ticked but will not update on saved changes) still will not show innut fields such as category

It seems every time I save settings, the number of blank lines in Document List Configuration builds up…

yes, blank lines keep building up….
I’ve just release a fix that will hopefully solve your problem.
Please update to the later version 3.9.19 see if you issue remains.
