    Hi,

My website has generated a ton of 404’s, I’ve traced it back to a missing CSS file within this plugin.
    Missing file is : plugins/molongui-authorship/assets/css/author-box.ebfd.min.css?ver=4.9.5

I’ve checked against a fresh download of the plugin from here but it’s still missing. Even after updating.

Are you able to provide the missing file or corrected plugin zip?

    Thanks,

    Sadie

    Hi @sadieh,

Do you have a caching plugin? Maybe a server’s cache? I’d say your site is trying to load a stale file. Try clearing your cache and check if that fixes the issue.

Please let us know if this helps.

    Hi,

Yes we have cache plugin wp-rocket we disabled rocket cache for the page it’s on and cleared molongui-authorship cache and also excluded this page from stack cache but no luck.

Can you please supply the missing file?

    Thanks,

    Sadie

Is there someone I can email directly to get this resolved? Happy to share URL’s I just don’t want to on a public thread as it’s a client’s website.

Sure! You can open a support ticket with us here: https://www.molongui.com/help/support/

Anyway, you should clear all your cache (not just that page’s cache). Actually, that’s good practice after updating any theme or plugin in your site.

The issue reported in this thread was caused by custom code that was statically referencing an outdated file.

For future reference: Keep in mind that filenames—especially for CSS and JS assets—may change between versions. Always ensure compatibility when referencing them.

Since this has been addressed, we’re closing the ticket. Feel free to reopen if further assistance is needed.
