• I’m getting issues with images not loading and just displaying the image name instead.
It seems to happen randomly and mainly on google chrome.

You can see what I’m talking about in the screenshot attached.
Does anyone have any idea why this may be happeneing?
I’ve flushed my cache and it’s doing this on multiple operating systems and browsers.

  • Hi @lenconz,

I can see that you’re using Jetpack’s Photon module to serve the images on your site. The random broken images are likely due to one of the following two factors:

    1. A plugin may be conflicting with Photon. Try deactivating all of your plugins (except for Jetpack) one by one to see if that resolves the issue.

    2. The number of images on your page, in addition to their size, may mean they can’t be properly cached and served by Photon. If an image is larger than 50 MB or takes longer than 20 seconds to grab, Photon will stop trying to cache it, and display a broken image placeholder. In this case, I recommend contacting your host to see if they can bump up the server’s speed, or if they can advise on how to improve your site’s loading times.

    Hope that information’s helpful!
