Hello, @petersauber2017!
Thank you for posting your question!
Please note, that uploading images via FTP does not create image thumbnails, since image manipulation functions don’t run this way.
But there is a workaround which you can try. Please move your images to /wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/.original folder first.
Afterwards add/edit a gallery, add all images to it, then reset them. To reset the images, select all from your gallery, choose Reset option from Bulk Actions, then click Apply.
Let us know if this helps.
Thanks! Have a wonderful day!
Hi,
thx for yor answer, but this don*t work for me!
Please move your images to /wp-content/uploads/photo-gallery/.original folder first.
I don’t have that folder. If i generate it over ftp like this (with “.” as prefix) it don’t show up in Photo Gallery. If i create it over Photo Gallery, it don’t take the “.”
If i move all Coppermine-Folders to the “original” folder and generate a new gallery, i still have broken thumbs showing up and the bulk-reset won’t change my thumbnail-issue…
So what i doing wrong?
In the meantime i found a plugin “ADD FROM SERVER” ist works so far, but it fills my media-libary without to generate folders. I have more than 2000 Pics what i want to set to the Photo Gallery! This is too much to work without folders!
Same here, I want to add over 2000 pictures via ftp but then I have no thumbnails etc. And the workaround via .original folder doesn’t work as well. What can we do?
Because of no answer yet, it seems, that there is no solution!
I have downloaded all Commernine Albums, clean it up and uploaded it again with Photo Gallery.
Obviously, Its faster, than to wait for an answer here… =(
