Furthermore I do not have the play button (I installed it automatically via WP), just the Pause-Button of the Nivo-Slider. How do I get it?

Kindly update the theme to 1.3.7 to get play, pause buttons, please be sure that the slider items/images need to be again inserted as slider has been changed from nivo to other.

I already had the 1.3.7 theme installed, but I simply edited one of the supersized.js and inserted hard links. It now works, thanks.
