Are unsecured http:// addresses automatically displayed for security reasons or something like that?
Hi!
Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble!
I’m not really sure that I understand. Can you maybe explain again what exactly is wrong, maybe with some screenshots (you can create one by pressing “Print” on the keyboard on Windows, or Cmd+Shift+3 on a Mac, and then upload it to a service like https://imgur.com/)?
Regards,
Tobias
Hello,
In the first image you can see the link. I’d rather not show http://. It is logically placed with a href in a. However, when displayed on the table, it shows the http:// (image 2)

Hi,
thanks for the screenshot! Well, that’s pretty odd! TablePress is not modifying the table data here, so I assume that something else is doing this.
Can you therefore please try again after temporarily deactivating all other plugins and after switching to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Twenty-Three? That way, we can find what’s causing this.

Tobias
Hello again.
I think I’ve found the trouble. When I enter only the website without https://www, I don’t have any problems. But when I simply add a www. it will automatically integrate a http:// even when the link is a secure https://. (see screenshot)
What do you think?

Hi,
that’s strange, but I can only repeat: TablePress does not modify your table content, and it does not add e.g. http:// before any URLs in the content… So, this must have a different cause, like another plugin. I can therefore only suggest again what I wrote above.

Tobias
Hello,
Ok, i gonna check and see what can do that.
Thanks again.
Hi,
thanks! Please let me know what you find!
Best wishes,
Tobias
