• I have been using Amelia for about 9 months.
On many occasions, there have been malfunctions in making appointments.

An employee being marked as unavailable in the form while he is there in the calendar.

The plugin has some cool features, but it’s locked (even in pro version), there’s no logic.

    For example:
    – it is impossible to create a client that does not exist in the appointment form, you must quit the form and create it in the client form.
    – In the frontend employee panel, it is impossible to create a customer, you have to go to the wordpress admin interface.
    – There are a lot of updates from Amelia, bug fixes, at first it seemed like a quality, and a follow-up product, but now I have the impression of weakness.

I just want a product that works, because it is used professionally, and it is unacceptable for such a product to be unstable.

I have the impression of a plugin that does not fit into the wordpress concept, like an old application developed to work alone.

I opened a ticket a few days ago, but I’m just waiting for the plugin to work on its own, and fine.

    Private Ticket #3021237

    Hello there.

    Thank you for your review.

There are causes to why you can’t book an appointment with an employee (maybe you’ve added a special day, or a day off, maybe the employee is blocked through Google or Outlook Calendar, maybe you’ve got an event at that time, or an employee is already assigned to another appointment, etc). Whatever happened with the availability of the employee, it’s caused by something which can be identified by an inspection.

Group appointments work as a single appointment with multiple customers. This doesn’t concern actual customers, so on the front-end, they can book an appointment where there are other customers. In the back-end, employees, managers, and administrators need to actually edit the appointment and add the customer to it. Like having a physical list of guests – it’s not feasible to create multiple lists for the same guest list, but instead, if you need to add someone, you add it to an existing list.

The “Amelia Employee” role currently doesn’t have the ability to create new customers, that is true. Our developers will be adding this functionality in the future, but we don’t have an exact ETA on that. We develop features and improve existing ones based on the number of votes received from our customers. At this time, the best approach for your employees would be to book a new appointment from the incognito mode, using the customer’s details.

We’re not sure why you have the impression of weakness, so it’d be good if you can elaborate on that – we’ve released 7 new features in the past 3 months, along with over 30 bug fixes, and 6 improvements to existing features. Of course, there’s a lot more to come in the upcoming period.

There are hundreds of different business types that use Amelia, and even though we tend to make Amelia perfect for every customer, there will always be features that are just “not right” for every use case. That’s why we appreciate feedback, and feature suggestions, so we can improve the plugin as much as possible, as fast as possible.

    Kind regards
