bug report: search box padding
-
Looks like we need just a tad of padding on the left side inside the search box. The first character is not showing because it’s too far to the left.

Hello oakhillman,
Please share the site url so i can look into the issue.
Kind Regards,
Manoj
It’s just a site I loaded for checking out Textbook, and a few other things. Can’t guarantee it will be available for very long but you should be able to see pretty quick what I’m talking about.

Just click on Search at the top-right and you’ll see the padding issue in the search box. I checked it on the 3 major browsers and the results are the same. And same issue on the mobile platform.
Note that this is not a production site so I don’t actually need a fix right now. Obviously a little custom CSS would fix the problem. I just thought you might want to know so the core install can be corrected. The theme has promise so I might be using it on a production site in the future. As I’m sure you know, there are NOT a lot of choices when it comes to accessible themes.
@oakhillman Thanks a lot for the bug report. I see the issue on the demo site too, so I’ll pass it along to our developers so we can get it fixed up. Appreciate the heads-up.
You bet. Not sure if you are interested but there are a couple of small accessibility issues with the testimonial navigation components. Guessing they were not caught on the accessibility review because the testimonial section is only available with Jetpack installed.

@oakhillman – yes, definitely interested, thank you! Feel free to pass those along.
I don’t know if these are issues that can be fixed or even should be fixed, but tenon.io shows them as issues and they are all from the testimonials section. Note that I have 2 testimonials on the test site.

Thanks again – I’ll pass these along and we’ll see what might be doable.
@oakhillman – turns out these issues come from the FlexSlider slideshow code, which is what’s incorporated in TextBook. Feel free to add to one of these tickets, or start a new one if you prefer:
