Bug support for custom post sql

I’m having quite the dilemma using custom finder sql with post-dated posts. I can’t find any docs about such things, and I need to find out why a particular bug is occuring. Basically data is randomly NOT being returned properly. Sometimes the posts show up, sometimes they don’t. It’s completely random.
