[bug] tags (BR,P) added when using shortcodes

After adding “page” support to the plugin:

I am having problems with the AMP plugin displaying a large excess of empty spacing elements added on the pages. These extra (and invalid) elements <BR></BR> seem to be placed around the areas where we have (custom) shortcodes being used.
In addition, the AMP plugin looks to be adding empty <P></P> tags as well.

Has anyone else seen this bug?
