BUG with quantities when using “Event Ticket Type”

    The issue is with the default quantity function in the cart. When using the “Event Ticket Type” the customer should not be able to change the product quantity at the cart, as it does not actually change the “Event Ticket Type” quantity. In this way someone could purchase one ticket using the “Event Ticket Type” and then change the quantity of the product in the cart to 100, then the inventory of the “Event Ticket Type” would be inaccurate, the inventory for “Event Ticket Type” would only see 1 ticket being purchased when in fact 100 were purchased

    Thank you very much for pointing out this issue. Actually this not bug. someone can not hack any rate. because if someone changes quantity price will be also increased with quantity. but as it a making confusion to you, we have the plan to disable quantity change feature for ticket type. hope we can give an update with next version release.

    This IS a bug, unless it is a lack of quality control on your part….. It is not about a rate, it is about inventory! If I hold an event with 25 seats and people change the quantity in the cart, it does not adjust the quantity of the tickets available for the event. That means an event could get overbooked, that is a huge issue!

    Actually, If someone uses ticket type, inventory will not depend on cart quantity. we are maintaining the inventory for every ticket type. if you look admin side, you will see we have text field available ticket. that is not reducing by cart quantity. it will be reduced only quantity selection during ticket type selection on the details page. hope you understand it now. but as it is making confusion, we are going to disable cart quantity change option for ticket type of event in our next release by 2-3 working days.

    Yes exactly, but the user can still change the quantity in the cart… So the tickets could be oversold very easily. The user should not be able to adjust the quantity in the cart.
