    Thank you for reporting this.

I assume that the “Restrictions” UI in Restrict User Access looks exactly the same as the one for Content Aware Sidebars?

They are using the same “engine”, but Restrict User Access is 1 version ahead. I will release an update to Content Aware Sidebars soon that should fix this issue.

    Hi Joachim,

We are using yours Content Aware Sidebars and we are chasing a new plugin to replace Page Security and Membership as it has been decommissioned and no support is given.

Your plugin Restrict Access seems to have nearly or same functionality.
The restriction we want to have is as follow:

    1. We have 1 user level that should see all post, pages and categories when they are logged in. So I assume we create 1 level and add in all users which should belongs to it.
    2. All other which are not logged in or users which are logged in but not belongs to the created level should not see restricted post, restricted pages and restricted categories. These should also be redirected to a certain page if they try to reach a restricted area.
    3. Some content on post and pages can be restricted so only logged in users that belongs to above created level can see and read, all not logged in or logged in users which not belongs to created level will not see this part.

So if this is true then I will asap you have released the new version for Content Aware Sidebar download Restrict User Access. Any idea how far away new version is?

    1. Yes you can add members individually to the level, or you can synchronize the level with a user role to add all members in one click.

    2. In your access level, you can set it to redirect it to another page, or you can “tease” the restricted content along with content from another page.

    3. This can easily be done with the [restrict] shortcode.

Because of Christmas I do not currently have time to make new releases, but you can expect a new version of both Content Aware Sidebars and Restrict User Access early 2016Q1.

Ok thanks fyi and I will wait to early next year then.

    Merry Christmas!

Yes, Content Aware Sidebars and Restrict User Access are compatible again.

If you experience any problems, do not hesitate to open a new support thread.

Hi Joachim, I have started to test User Access in combination with Content Aware Sidebars. As I have 2 blog areas with 2 different sidebars, one standard which none logged in users have access to and one members area (restricted to certain categories) and this area have a separate sidebars. I can’t find where I can restrict or grant so this members sidebars appears when logged in users navigate to members area.

Right now I get same sidebars appearing regardless if member or not member.

Any idea how to fix this?
