• I wanted to post a photo and have it automatically mark on a map where I took that photo. I thought this plugin would be exactly what I needed, but it’s too buggy to use. I installed the pro version on a brand new, bare bones WP 3.8.1 using the 2012 template.

    1. It’s not responsive. The width of the photos can be set to 100%, but the height can only be a fixed pixel value. Your photos and the map will only crop in on on the sides on a smaller screen instead of resizing proportionately. I tried using no value in the height, but then the photo doesn’t show up at all.

    2. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Sometimes I get no photo, just a map. Sometimes I get a photo and a map, sometimes I get no photo and no map and then sometimes my photo/map doesn’t save at all. I get the short code, but when I go back to edit it, there’s nothing there to edit.

    3. There’s no way that I can see to set up default sizes, map settings, etc. There is an option to copy the settings from a previous photo map, but when I try to use it, I just get a blank screen.

The pro version isn’t expensive ($9), but make very certain that the free version works well for you before you buy it.
