Buggy, has poor support

    I’ve been trying to use this plugin, but it’s too buggy to rely on so I’ve had to uninstall it. The biggest problem is that emails sent through this form can take hours to show up, if they make it at all.

    I also found a bug where it adds erroneous characters to your post-submission message.

    I reported both of these issues in the official support forum, but there have been no replies or fixes (other users have seen the same issues).

    Hello OneThree,

    If you have problems with email sending, then you should install
    an extra plugin called WP-mail-SMTP and configure it. Afterwards you
    should send a test email from this plugin and you will see if the
    plugin logs have errors.

    I’ve set up my site to just use a mailto link instead. It’s not worth the time to mess with additional plugins just to figure out why Contact Form doesn’t work, especially since other members are also reporting problems with severely delayed email (or not receiving emails at all).

    As for the erroneous character bug, I reported it on the forum here a month ago: http://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/erroneous-backslash-added-to-display-after-email-is-sent-field.

    No one ever replied.
