Build conditionnal behavior

I would like to know if it’s possible to adding some javascript code or may activate an option or extension who allow this:

If a product of the parent category called “maxiscoot” (for exemple) is selected (with product category system) then I want the parent category also called “maxiscoot” (from another category system produced by adding taxonomy with hierarchy) is already selected in my widget filter with hierarchy drop -down.
