build-in menu WordPress 3.0 question

I have few questions about WordPress Build-in menu:

1) In the home page, if I add pagination and I go to page two, the “Home” menu item is not longer highlighted (and more important, I lose the subcategories for “Home”).
2) Is there a way to have the “Home” Menu item highlighted if I use the search form (and keep the subcategories of “Home”)?
