    Hi,

    Over the past few days, I have been receiving an unusually large number of new registrations on the site every few minutes.
    These are not real users—I can tell by the usernames.

    Why did this suddenly start happening, and how can it be prevented?

    Hi @sagdude123,

    Most likely you’re being targeted by some spam attacks.

    Now, when it comes to spam registrations, with Profile Builder, you have access to reCaptcha field that should help you reduce spam.

    Note: For our reCAPTCHA field, you can try using the V3 implementation since this is the newest one, which is invisible (doesn’t require user action) + it is more secure than the other implementations. You can read more about this here.

    Besides this, you can disable the default WordPress Registration form by going to your site’s Dashboard -> Settings -> General -> and make sure the “Anyone can register” setting is disabled.
