Bulk Change/Removal without using Saved Tabs

    Hi all –

    This plugin has worked great for our site! Only, it turns out we haven’t totally been using it correctly. We have a custom product tab with text “X” that we want to change to text “Y”. However, as I look closer, the tabs weren’t created as a saved tab, but rather added to each product individually. (Sad!)

    Does anyone have a good suggestion for how to change these tabs in bulk so as not to have to go through each product individually, and to solve this problem for when we’ll want to change from “Y” to “Z” however long in the future? The best I’ve thought of would be to uninstall our free plugin to erase all the current custom tabs (?), and then install the pro plugin to since it can add a saved tab to multiple products at once. Does that seem reasonable?

    Hi JH,

    The proposed solution is one way you could do this. You could also write a custom PHP script that goes through all of your products and changes the tabs. We’ve helped out some users in the past with this kind of thing.

    Are you familiar with PHP? Adding custom functions? Would you be interested in attempting this?

    I only have the most rudimentary understanding of PHP so I’d rather not go that way myself – although someone else on our crew may be able to.
