I have taken a look at your demo admin backend to try your suggestion but not having much luck – assume I require access to the template php files?
Is it possible if you can setup a demo of your suggestion please?

Sorry for the delayed reply, in the pro version you can add multiple files with a package, and allow users to download each file separately or all files as a zip in a click.
