Bullet, Excerpt, & Thumbnail

Hello!

I’m desperately trying to remove the bullet. Nothing I do seems to work. I’ve gone into the CSS, tried tweaking it in the plugin, tried adding the code to the site CSS and modifying it from there, switching the default on and off. Nothing seems to remove it.

I also can’t seem to get the thumbnail into any other shape than a square. Is this an issue of uploading a new thumbnail that’s the correct size?

Finally, is there a max number of words in the excerpt? I’d like it to display a few more lines of text.
