Hi @deheugden,
Thank you for your interest in wpForo and for contacting us.
I apologize for the late response.
Please follow the steps below:
1. Create a new category desirable to choose the threaded layout. More info here: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/categories-and-forums/forum-layouts/threaded-layout/
2. Set the category on the homepage via shortcode as described here: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/getting-started/forum-page/wpforo-shortcodes/
You can use wpForo as Stand-alone forum on front-end, doc here: https://wpforo.com/docs/root/getting-started/forum-page/turn-wordpress-to-wpforo/
I’d also recommend you check out the wpForo doc for Forum Accesses:
https://wpforo.com/docs/root/wpforo-settings/forum-accesses/
many thanks for the reply. I am testing it but it is still somewhat confusing.
Ineed to stick a post at the mainpage of my forum to be able to use this as a kind of a bulletin board. After reading the provided info, i dont see how i can select a specific post(by use of the threaded layout) to stick at the mainpage of my website.
Is that possible?

ok @deheugden,
For example, if you like to add the topic with ID = 10 on the home page you should add the following shortcode on homepage content:
[wpforo item=”topic” id=”10″]
You can find the topic ID by moving the mouse to the RSS button, as shown in the screenshot:

?type=rss2&forum=9&topic=0
i dont think a topic 0 can be correct, at least when i use [wpforo item=”topic” id=”0″] at the forum page,
i get a
Forum – Page Not Found
notification
